Most of the replies based the fix on the fact that the lisa thought it had a valid Mac formatted disk. Our Lisa did not think it was a Mac formatted disk. The replies that stated I should use Mactools 5.* seemed the best chance, unfortunatly in one of the many tries when using the hard disk install. I clicked the OK button on the install's "Not a Mac disk, intialize?". Needless to say the Lisa works just fine now but all the data was lost. So as we slowly recover the data (off hardcopy) we now have a strong incentive for backup. Anyone have suggestions for a good backup scheme. HFS backup, that we use on a Mac with a hard disk doesn't work on the non HFS Lisa. Thanks Again. -- Lance Keashly New Media Technologies Ltd. ..decvax!microsoft!ubc-vision!winston!keashly ..ihnp4!alberta!ubc-vision!winston!keashly #108 4664 Lougheed Highway Burnaby, B.C., Canada, V5C 5T5 (604) 291-7111
