HFS backup, that we use >on a Mac with a hard disk doesn't work on the non HFS Lisa. Well, I thought the Lisa (actually, Mac/XL) was dead, but for all those people who got one really cheap: long ago I wrote a backup utility for it. This was the first backup/restore utility to hit the net, and when HFS appeared I received many requests for an upgrade to HFS. I never got that far (it took a long time before I could lay my hands on the HFS version of the File Manager documentation), and I decided to spend my time on something else when I read all the enthousiastic reports on HFS backup. It may be possible to locate a copy of my backup program in old Usenet or BBS archives; if you can't find it, I can mail you a new copy. -- Guido van Rossum, CWI, Amsterdam
