The best (in other words, the ONLY posting that
unshar/compiled without incident or intervention)
has *already* been posted in mod.sources a few
months back.  Ask your most local archivist or the
mod.sources moderator.

incidentally, all of the other uude/encode programs
posted gave me fits.  Stick to the mod.sources
version.
