The stretch from Reno to Salt Lake was done at night in a double roomette. This was old rolling stock (probably built just after WW II) and I found the ride rather uncomfortable for sleeping, since the train swayed from side to side pretty vigorously. Keep in mind that this was old equipment going about 80 mph on trackage used primarily for freight. Cheers -- Walt
