Wrong display for large file. Message-ID: <769@polaris.UUCP> Date: Thu, 30-Oct-86 21:48:10 EST Article-I.D.: polaris.769 Posted: Thu Oct 30 21:48:10 1986 Date-Received: Mon, 3-Nov-86 21:14:01 EST Reply-To: darmon@polaris.UUCP (Pierre Darmon) Organization: IBM Research, Yorktown Heights, N.Y. Lines: 14 Xref: mnetor net.micro:6346 net.micro.pc:7474 net.sources:3405 I am afraid I posted a little too soon. I apologize. Some of you may already have noticed that the diplay of the remaining bytes is erroneous for large files. In fact for a file larger than 65535 bytes, it's incorrect. The reason is that the FileSize function of TP returns an integer. I believe I have to use a DOS call to get the actual size. When I get a fix, I'll post. So hang on. In the mean time you can still use the programs. No harm. Your files will still be uudecoded/encoded. Just the count displayed will be incorrect. At least your screen won't scroll. -- Pierre Darmon, IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center. .....seismo!philabs!polaris!darmon. darmon.yktvmz.ibm@csnet-relay
