(see also, Tron motorcycle races (?))... perhaps a (an) intuitive stategy would be to just continue moving away from the center of mass (nonmass) of the destroyed planets... what can a devil possibly do? As long as the angel has a range of 100 and the devil can only destroy one planet per day... Yes, it does seem to get more interesting if you change the rules... angel gets a range of R, and devil can destroy N planets per day... (less than N=8, with R=1, right?)...
