Although your experience may vary, I have been wearing this particular pair of extended-wear lenses as daily lenses for over 14 months. By this time in regular soft lenses, I was ready to replace them, and these lenses seem fine. Other factors are also involved (such as discovering that I am mildly allergic to thimerisol), but the lenses have not worn out so far and seem to be free of major debris. I'm not wearing them as extended-wear because my eyelids don't enjoy the contact overnight. Besides, I don't mind cleaning them every night and not being able to see clearly immediately in the morning. Nothing scientific here, just my personal experience. Beth Katz Univ. of Maryland CS Dept.
