Several of the lectures this fall look interesting to me, so I though I would post a partial list. For more information, phone the RCI at 928-2096 (I have no idea what their "business hours" are). November 2: H.S.M. Coxeter: "Coloured Symmetry, Illustrated by Escher's Pictures" November 9: W.E. McLeod: "The Ancient Egyptian Composite Bow" November 16: John Sewell: "Reassesing Don Mills and the Design of Suburbs" November 23: J.M. Pasachoff: "The Sun and Solar Eclipses" (This is a joint meeting with the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.) November 30: P.J. Caplan: "The Myth of Women's Masochism" These lectures are given in the Medical Sciences Auditorium at the University of Toronto. Parking is free. Lectures start at 15:00. These lectures have a long and honourable tradition (this is the 138th session!). I hope this posting will bring them to the attention of more people.
