He said 'we already have our own restful sabbath...we feel no need to rest on someone elses'. As I see it, the problem is one of religious freedom. The idea that a day be set aside, and retail store employees be allowed a day of rest is fine, and I doubt that anyone would seriously disagree with it. The fact that it MUST be Sunday is obvious religious descrimination. Jews observe Saturday as sabbath; Muslims observe Friday; my ignorance keeps me from being aware of others.
