Synapse is out of business.  You might send mail to ucat!pesnta!peoam!wjb or
ucat!pesnta!peoam!en and ask these two guys about Synapse (they use to work
there).  The only problem is that you may not get a reply for a few weeks
since they are always "on-the-road".
