Lines: 21 Keywords: software release library Xref: mnetor comp.sources.wanted:126 misc.wanted:300 Here where I work we have an extensive software library that tries to keep up with all of our software releases (along with a copy of each of our customers customized versions). In the past this has been done by keeping thousands of diskettes and using a Dbase II program on a PC to track part numbers. As you can probably guess, our library is usually hopelessly out of date and many times software cannot be found at all. Does anyone out there know if there are any commercial packages that address this problem? The software should track part numbers and version numbers. Ideally it should also track who has what versions. If it could interface with a source code control prog- ram that would be nice. Source code would probably be required as we will be running this under the Dnix OS (a System V clone). -- David Schmidt UUCP: ihnp4!tektronix!reed!iscuva!davids ISC Systems Corp.
