Wico trackball modification ERROR! Message-ID: <257@esunix.UUCP> Date: Wed, 3-Dec-86 00:55:25 EST Article-I.D.: esunix.257 Posted: Wed Dec 3 00:55:25 1986 Date-Received: Fri, 5-Dec-86 05:51:10 EST Lines: 37 Keywords: OOPS! Don't plug it in yet! Monday I recieved mail telling me that I made an error in the Amiga mouse connector pinouts. This is the first chance I've had to double-check. Sure enough, I blew it. (a 16 hour work day does wonders for clear thought!) o) Her are the correct pinouts: 1 V-pulse 2 H-pulse 3 VQ-pulse 4 HQ-pulse 5 NC 6 Button 1 7 +5 Volts 8 Ground 9 Button 2 The error I made was switching pins 9 & 7. 7 is +5 Volts, not pin 9. I don't know how I managed to switch pins 9 & 7, but the above listing is correct. Sorry for any trouble this caused. I think the worst case would be a non-working trackball, not smoke + fire. Thanks again for showing me the error of my ways. p.s. I got my 1.2 "enhancer" yesterday, 3 disks and a 77 page book for $15. That's nearly free! Thanks Commodore-Amiga, I guess you do care after all.
