This is because it doesn't trash the disk that happens to be in the disk drive at the time, like Locksmith & Nibbles Away do. (This is based on experience, not documentation reading... Copy ][ manuels say to use scratch disks, but I've never had a problem using regular disks in, say, 50 speed checks.) Patrick Ryan (standard disclaimers)
