It doesn't work on most older Franklins be- cause of a difference in timings between Apple ][s (Revision 7 onward) and 1000s/1200s. Note that I said "Revision 7 onward" of Apple ][+. Apparently even older Apple ][s won't work with the Sider. Possible solution: try installing a coprocessor card, serial card, modem card, or some other such device along with the Sider host adapter. Sometimes cer- tain card combinations will suddenly correct the problem. Also, try moving the Sider host adapter from slot to slot until (if) it works. Perhaps First Class Peripherals may have some better ideas.
