I'm posting this for a friend who has no access to the net:

       Why the Atari requires so much diskswapping is  a  mystery 
to  me  (I  do know it checks the disk-space on the target disk), 
but there is one simple and effective solution: 
 
        Use a RamDisk as drive C:  or D:,  copy the file onto the 
ramdisk,  remove the destination disk, insert the target disk and 
then copy the file from ramdisk to the  destionation  disk.  Only 
one swap necessary!  

        You'll be able to find a ramdisk in earlier netpostings!
