I just thought I'd ad an example of how a vendor can supliment DOS.
Zenith MS-DOS 2.11 fixes what I consider to be two major bugs in IBM
PC DOS 2.x and 3.x.  First Zenith provides a CONFIGUR program to specify
communications handshaking including XON/XOF at the DOS level.  Second
Zenith does advance the date one day when the time passes midnight.  These
are both pet peves of mine with IBM's DOS!
