I have recently involved in some heavy software development in PC environment.
I am using microsoft C compiler V4.0.  I would like to have more tools
like 'lint', 'RCS' and 'profiler'.  I have seen some ads on magazines but
I have no idea how good they are.  If you have used any of the above mentioned
tools in PC, would you share the experience and your assessment of the 
quality of the particular tool you have used?  Any brand/version to avoid?
Any comment on robustness, resemblence to unix tools?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
