There was an error in my flame about Word 3.0 . Contrary to what I said,
Word 3.0 will in fact allow direct editing of IBM PC Word files from a
Macintosh over a local area network, without a conversion step.  I apologize
to all people who were misled by this error, which apparently resulted from
careless reading of a press release.  Word 3.0 sounds like an excellent
program, and I am eagerly awaiting its debut.
