We had to switch pins 2 and 3 (using a separate ribbon cable), otherwise, there have been no problems (the IBM mainframe the net is on here is what I am hooked up to as I write this). The modem can be ordered from DAK for $169 plus $6 shipping, and takes 2-4 weeks to receive. It is Hayes compatible, and has had no problems. Standard disclaimers: I am not working for/involved with Apple, DAK, or the ribbon making company. ------- ============================================================================== George A.
