It is Hayes compatible, and has had no problems. Recently, DAK reduced the price of the modem to $149.00 we ordered it at $169.00 ut was only billed the new lower price. DAK is a very friendly and good company. I enjoy just reading their catalogs. BTW, I am president of a local Mac users group funded by Rutgers and the invoice for the modem said DUCK.......$149.00. I had a good time eplaining to the College that we recieved a modem and not a duck.
