This is because we cannot have a direct connection from the Mac to the laser printer. I need an application (preferrably a DA) that will add a prespecified set of characters to both the front of the file and to the end. I also want it to go out the port at a high speed (faster than 19200?). This is to work on postscript files generated via the command-f key. Does anyone know how to write such a DA, would someone write one and post it to the net, or would people in net.land give me some pointers as to how to program this. Mind you, I have no experience programming the Mac. Please send me mail at: riedesel@aisung.cs.uiuc.edu or: riedesel@b.cs.uiuc.edu Thanks, Joel
