I am not currently an active Mac programmer and thus I subscribe net.micro.mac/ comp.sys.mac for product rumors and reviews and because of an academic interest in user interfaces and software engineering. The high noise level of an unmoderated group allows me to see the full range of opinion. Once in a while it produces discussions that degenerate badly but on the whole it produces a lively forum. I find the moderated groups a little dry for what I am looking for. Ethan Munson CS grad student UC Berkeley munson@ernie.berkeley.edu
