But for something around $350/seat you can get schema from Omation Inc. It works *very* well as a schematic editor, producing netlists, Bill's of material, etc. There is an object editor for adding your own chips, and a library system. We have been using it at the University of Delaware, Department of EE for about 6 months, and have several 20-40 drawing projects in the works using it. It does not have a PC board layout program, or a simulator with it. We think it worth the money for the ~5 locking devices we purchased for it. Updates come frequently, bug reports (and we have only nits to report) are listened to and repairs effected. I have no connection with Omation, except as a satisfied customer. Similar products start at orders of magnitude greater price. It is not a set of simple things to write, and commercially, the market is not as big as for say a spreadsheet.
