Message-ID: <1937@utecfa.UUCP> Date: Wed, 26-Nov-86 13:27:24 EST Article-I.D.: utecfa.1937 Posted: Wed Nov 26 13:27:24 1986 Date-Received: Wed, 26-Nov-86 17:28:19 EST References: <137@uhmanoa.UUCP> Organization: Engineering Computing Facility, University of Toronto Lines: 22 We have had an Imagen 12/300 here since August 1985 and have run about 50,000 copies through it. I agree that the OPC belts are very sensitive, but ours have been holding up fine - needing only to be replaced about every 10,000 copies. We only destroyed a belt once, and that was right after we got the machine. It turns out that if you have a paper jam and just pull the paper out of the machine, you can often scratch the belt. Our service people told us that before clearing a paper jam you should remove the drawer that holds the OPC belt. You can then drag the jammed paper out of the machine without damaging anything. Hope this is useful information. -- Larry Philps Engineering Computing Facility University of Toronto Usenet: {linus, ihnp4, allegra, decvax, floyd}!utcsri!utecfa!larry CSNET: larry@Toronto ARPA: larry%Toronto@CSNet-Relay
