Summary: What is returned in r0?

Looking over the source to mount.c, I noticed that the C library
clears register 0 before returning.  Does anyone know if the actual
mount system call returns anything meaningful?  The I-node number the
new device is attached to?  Or does it just leave garbage in r0, which
the library routine cleans up?

There's no urgent need for an answer - I'm just curious.
