Message-ID: <8611181706.AA16031@EDDIE> Date: Tue, 18-Nov-86 11:37:30 EST Article-I.D.: EDDIE.8611181706.AA16031 Posted: Tue Nov 18 11:37:30 1986 Date-Received: Tue, 18-Nov-86 21:33:43 EST Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The ARPA Internet Lines: 26 Approved: apollo@yale-comix.arpa Are you all aware of the netlib automatic software library at ANL-MCS (Argonne National Labs). You send a message to NETLIB@ANL-MCS with the text of the message comprised of lines like: SEND INDEX SEND INDEX FROM LINPACK SEND PROGRAM FROM LIBRARY_NAME and an automatic mailer daemon will send you back an annotated directory listing and the programs you requested without human intervention. It's a great way to distribute software! The Alliant users group (newly formed and still without a catchy name like ADUS or DECUS) is setting up their software library online at ANL-MCS in order to take advantage of the mailer daemon. They (ANL) say they are willing to set up another library for Apollo software. Interested? Send mail to DONGARRA@ANL-MCS. -- David Krowitz
