I solved the problem the following way: Put an ACL on the device granting READ access to all objects holding the SPECIAL_USER identifier. Grant the identifier SPECIAL_USER to those individuals whom I want to allow access to those special ports. Works like a charm... Ron Tencati JPL-VLSI.ARPA
