The modems have several things going for them that other manufacturer's could well benefit by copying, among them power on diagnostics, and that nifty LCD display. Support from the company, however, was atrocious. We have switched to the Microcom AX2400c's, and have been very impressed with the product and the company that stands behind it. Rock solid, flexible, no noise, and F-A-S-T! We are getting about 4800 bps on a 2400 baud connection using the switch-to-sync and data compression of MNP Class 5.
