I got to try the Arai F-1 this wkend.  It is much quieter than my Shoei
Z-100 up to about 45mph.  At 55, it becomes at least as noisy... I wear
an XL Shoei and found the Arai to be pretty tight (not sure whether it
would loosen up enough to be comfortable.)

I'm fairly concerned with the noise problem because I experienced some
ear problems (specifically, wax buildup) after an all-day jaunt.  I
have partially remedied it by installing a taller windscreen (by Targa)
and one of those rubber  "airdams" at the top. (700 Interceptor).  I
guess I'm gonna have to get friendly w/ earplugs...
