Actually, the scriptwriters seem to have forgotten it too. Remember the Organians ("Errand of Mercy")? Remember the Organian Peace treaty? Remember how if either side starts an armed conflict theOrganians will immediately disable that side's fleet? In short, if there is to be continuity with the series, there can be NO 'direct and acknowleged confron- tation with the Klingons. The best you'll get would be minor incidents a la "A Private Little War" or "Friday's Child." Richard Schultz
