I thought I had a fairly good version of patch, but it doesn't like the
patches to the news software that just arrived.  It says (for example):

    Unexpected --- at line 34: --- 221,227 ----

My version of patch seems to be:

 * $Header: patch.c,v 1.3 85/03/26 15:07:43 lwall Exp $

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?  I looked at the patches, and
they seem to contain a new kind of context diff that I haven't seen
before (and that our diff doesn't produce).  Does anyone have a patch
to patch that will fix this?
