It turns out that converting to version 2.11 will solve 99 percent of your problems since 2.11 dynamically calculates the size of the bitmap at startup. The one case that it fails on is if news is being actively received at the time that you run readnews/vnews. The fix for this is to simply increase the size of the bitmap instead of printing that foolish message. I have sent the changes to Rick Adams for inclusion in the next update but if anyone is desperate to get them send me mail and I will send you a copy.
