Instead of deleting the pathalias data, I suggest commenting it out,
and noting why:

#path data too old, and not updated:
#poor_citizen_site  ....

This would allow the hardy to attempt to contact the site, while warning
them.  It's a shame to just throw the inforamtion totally away!
