  I must modify my statement about the DES program that was posted
to net.sources several months ago.  Previously, I said that the
program did not do DES encryption.  I tested it and observed that, while
it could encrypt and decrypt blocks, the encrypted blocks did not
meet the expected output unless weak keys were used.

 However, I may have broken it (sorry, I can't check because I no
longer have the orignal) or it may have been broken as posted.  Richard
Outerbridge has sent me a later version of the program and that version
successfully handles the NBS triples.
