Wes, you are saying that multiculturalism is fine as long as every person of a different culture sacrifice his/her culture, and be submerged to something called the 'American culture'. You used an analogy of a melting pot. That is great. But you fail to understand that to be a melting pot, the American culture needs to evolve with input from the cultures immigrants bring in. That is the true spirit.
