Texas CS Dept., Austin, Texas Lines: 9 Keywords: how do they grow Just out of curiosity: Sure, everyone knows that nails grow from the cuticle (sort of like hair) but there seems to be a slight problem. They are firmly stuck to the flesh of the fingers and toes all along the way to the tip of the limb(? and is there a generic word for 'finger or toe'?). So how do they move?! Dan B.
