Our 4.3 tapes just arrived and I have been trying to make working
copies on our one-tape-drive system using a disk as an intermediate.

I have been getting a directory checksum error from 4.2 tar on the
first file of the second tape (/sys).  The other two files (/usr/src
and /usr/lib/vfont) tar just fine.  The error seems to come late in
the file - perhaps at the last block, as it looks like most of /sys
has been extracted.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, or is it likely that my
tape 2 is defective?
