Message-ID: <7317@elsie.UUCP> Date: Sat, 17-Jan-87 17:48:04 EST Article-I.D.: elsie.7317 Posted: Sat Jan 17 17:48:04 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 17-Jan-87 23:59:35 EST Followup-To: poster Organization: NIH-LEC, Bethesda, MD Lines: 23 Keywords: ksh . Our newly-installed 02/21/85b version of ksh exhibits anti-social behavior if an error occurs in a `.' command. For example, if while running ksh I type in the commands /bin/echo "/bin/cat < garbage" > subscript . subscript /bin/echo one /bin/echo two I get the output ksh: garbage: cannot open one and then my terminal locks up. Does this bug appear in later versions of ksh? Is a fix for the bug known? If you know, please let me know by mail (rather than by posting a news article.)
