I'm interested in a network database that will work on top of a portion of the INTERNET. It will range in bandwidth from 56kbits/sec to 1.544mbits/sec. I would like the db to run on in order of importance: SUN3's 4.3VAX/UNIX GOULD UTX2.0 VAX/VMS IBMPC/DOS IBM/VM/CMS IBM/VM/MVS The db should have a SQL interface and be interfaced from the C language in UNIX or something else in the other environments. That is a starter. The two that immediately come to mind are RTI & ORACLE but I don't want to leave anyone else... If you have such a beast running in your environment please contact me so that I might find out how well it is working. Lastly, related to the above, I'd like a mail path/address for at least rti & oracle if anyone knows. I believe I have a path to rti but confirmation would be nice. -- marty schoffstall schoff@csv.rpi.edu seismo!rpics!schoff
