I am trying to build GNU emacs 18.33 on a Masscomp 5500.  When the build
gets to the line in src/xmakefile

    ./temacs -batch -l inc-vers

I get the following:

    Loading inc-vers...
    Search failed: "emacs-version \"[^\"]*[0-9]+\""

Anyone run into this pefore, or have any clues as to what's wrong?
