I don't know exactly what you are doing with X (porting the system or writing apps?) but if you are writing apps, it is rumoured that V10 will be supported. if you are porting the system, it is supposedly completely rewritten. for good reason. it couldn't be much more convoluted, but it is the best PD window system for unix. (only?) Also, if you are an app writer, you might want to contact MIT or HP and ask about Xrlib. It is available for v10r4 and is a GEM/MS-WIND/MAC like library package. user-interface generators (e.g. GEM RCS) will be avail. at some in the future. -- jdm
