From what I remember from last summer, there was no standard interface
between the GKS kernel and device drivers. Different manufacturers
might have their own interface to the drivers, and might publish it
if they want to allow user written device drivers. Again, this is not
current knowledge, but I doubt if the standard could have changed in
such a manner at this late date.
