Do correctly understand that the only medium that Sendmail understands for sending mail via SMTP is a TCP/IP connection? Is there software available that can talk SMTP through a serial line (let's say a hard-wire link from Unix to a friendly VMS machine)? Thanks, as they say, in advance.
