Good day, gentle people.

Our Sun-3 system is connected only to UUCP, but I'd like to be able 
to send mail to Bitnet and Arpanet sites.
I've heard that psuvax1 can be used as a gateway to Bitnet, like so:
	...!ihnp4!psuvax1!SITENAME.BITNET!user
and further, that wiscvm.bitnet is willing to gateway to Arpanet:
	...!ihnp4!psuvax1!WISCVM.BITNET!sitename.arpa!user

Unfortunately, this is a lot of typing.  I'd rather add rules to
/usr/lib/sendmail.cf to allow addresses like user@site.bitnet
and user@site.arpa (or user@site.edu.com and friends).
Again unfortunately, sendmail.cf is impenetrable- I'm not sure I can
afford to invest the week or two needed to understand it, write the
new rules, and debug.

Has anybody gotten this sort of thing to work?  If so, could they clue 
me in?
