Let's remember that most of the things which people are mentioning here are *peripherals*. What's needed is one good simple main unit which is usable on its own, yet has interfaces for peripherals. The original idea was a small unit with some kind of keypad, display, and a lot of memory. Keyboards, mice, larger displays, printers, and additional storage should all be extras which can be connected. The basic unit should have attachment points for some devices which a use
