Hello,
  I tried send to archive-request via UUCP. Explain: ...!ucbvax!simtel20.arpa!
archive-request. I am waited for files in approx 1 day and get requested files.
I couldn't believe that WISCVM gateways tie network too much. Today, I
received some requested files from archive-request. It took 7 days to
arrive! On friday, it modified to replyable-block. I had send to info-CPM
but it mailed back me. I was surprised that I received from
BITNET%"H462BATMS@GALLUA.BITNET" from arpanet instead EDU%"....@WISCVM.WISC.EDU"
That cause blocked some mail server to reply to bitnet sites. To work, use
UUCP mail until WISCVM has repaired. Sorry for you.
 
Last weekend, I tried to send netmail to archive-request and I get some
files from archive-request via UUCP. It works fine!
 
For BITNET users, use SENDGATE to send to archive-request:
      simtel20!archive-request@ucbvax.uucp or
      simtel20!archive-request@ucbvax.usenet to send request files.
 
or you can look in your archive blurb about UUCP.
