I'm a newcomer to UNIX, and I am not terribly knowledgeable about things like C, though I do know some assembly language, and a fair amount about the hard- ware inside a PC. Will I be able to make efficient use of MINIX? Let's put it this way: will I have to play a great deal with the programs I install in order to get them to work? Or will I be able to avoid this if I want, pick- ing up how to do it as I become more sophisticated? -Richard Goerwitz goer@sphinx.uchicago ihnp4!gargoyle!sphinx!goer
