Has anybody produced a sorted index from the nroff/troff output?
We are generating manuals using nroff/troff and this is one feature
that is notoriously lacking.  My present strategy is to use nroff/troff
to produce the manual with unsorted index, post-process the index
to produce sorted input to nroff/troff, and produce a sorted index
in a second pass.

Before I start this, I want to make sure that I am not re-inventing
the wheel.  If you have done this, I would be eternally grateful if
you could send me a copy.
