It is definitly not the driver that causes the printer to be so slow, it is the printer device. I created a modified driver that did absolutely *NOTHING* (it just did a return(0) in each function) and found that "printing" a simple notepad note using the RUBY font with this nop'd driver still took a super long time. Any graphics dump through the printer device takes much too long regardless of the printer driver you are using.
