FYI, there is a Canon Lines: 27 driver out there that will only work under 1.1. However I've found two others that both work under 1.2 (everyone has a different file size). I'm really curious about the Quadram's text font. The Canon font is practically unreadable, is the Quadram any better? (I know that it's possible for the inkjet to deliver readable text, Canon is currently selling a NLQ inkjet (black only) that looks just like the PJ-1080A.) The Canon is so bad on text, I bought a NEC PR-105A ($150 from BCE) for my text needs (great NLQ mode!). Other than the space two printers take up (well there is the hassle of switching cables, and printer drivers) I can't complain. $150 for the NEC for text (& B&W graphics) + $50 for the Canon (yea, I stole it from a friend) for color graphics. Heck $200 is what the local shop wants for the Okimate 20! Anyhow, good luck with the Quadram! -- ================================================= "The Admiral is well aware of the regulations..." ================================================= Blaine Gardner @ Evans & Sutherland {ihnp4, decvax}!decwrl!esunix!blgardne 560 Arapeen Drive Salt Lake City, Utah 84108 (801) 582-5847
